Filled With Love

Since I was a little girl, I have always loved with all my heart.

At the age of 8, when I had a hamster named Brownie, I held her so tight because she wanted to squirm away. Brownie always managed to find a way out of my love chokehold. But I just wanted her to know I loved her (as silly as it sounded) but at that age it made perfect sense to me.

In my family life, I would literally chase my older sister around to try and hug her. She usually just pushed me away because she was not much of a hugger. I just loved her so much I felt that was the way I could show her.

I walked through life wanting to make a difference with my kind words, smiles and inspiration. Whether it was at school with my peers, teachers or even grocery shopping with mom, I tried to bring a bit of sunshine in others’ lives.

I felt love so strong and wanted to shape the people I would cross paths with in a positive way. Some said I had a gift in the ability to transform a person’s day through kindness! I just loved with all my heart and believed I could impact the universe for the better with my positivity, gratitude and love.

I really cared, which helped me succeed as a mother of 4, business owner and writer—and with positive change so can you!

Start Your Day with a Plan of Action

Every day I get up and go for a run, many days as early as 4 am, so I can squeeze this in before my personal training client appointments begin. On my run, I think of all the ways I can do good for others and make a change. Some days I get goosebumps jut thinking of the ways I can make a change.

By the time I am done with my run I have a plan of action to spread kindness!

Just 10

If you practice doing 10 kind acts daily, you can show love with all your heart and make a change that may even pay it forward. It can be something simple like offering to help someone with their groceries, paying a compliment to a passerby or surprising a family member with lunch. You have the power to make a difference—all it takes is a little energy and some legwork on your part!

Compromise for the Better

Relationships take work but if you are in the right one, they are well worth the work.

To have a healthy relationship, it is integral to compromise. You can’t always have things your way and that is okay. Be open to sharing new experiences together and be flexible. I often stay up to watch my husband’s favorite TV show or meet him at different dining experience because in a relationship, you must bend a little.

Enjoy the differences because if we were all the same, life would be boring. Go ahead and live a little!

Don’t be Afraid to be Transparent

In a serious relationship, it is important to be genuine and true to yourself. Do not try to be someone you are not. A healthy relationship has transparency from both parties.

So, don’t be afraid to show your true colors. This will teach you to both work together through the good and the bad. In my marriage, I have been through many ups and downs but we have always worked together and this is just how you can succeed. Be aware that every bit of work you put in this relationship will be well worth it if you both have this transparent bond.

Create Your Own Story

Just because you grew up with a not-so-perfect childhood does not mean you should suffer the rest of your life. Growing up with two parents that divorced when I was young taught me everything I did not want in a relationship, along with everything I did.

I knew I wanted a companion that made me laugh. I also knew that respect was something I wanted in all levels of my adult household. You create the chapters of your story and decide how you want it to progress. You choose your fate by the choices you make each day. Now go ahead and create your fairytale!

Choose Your Dream Job & Dream Partner

The two most important decisions you will make in your life is the job you choose and if you decide to get married, the partner you choose. Think about it, between the two relationships, most of your hours in the day will be consumed. These decisions will determine if and just how happy you will be in life. Make these decisions wisely and make sure in both these relationships, you put in your heart, energy and a lot of passion

Always Do the Right Thing

From the moment you wake to when you lay down to go to sleep, live an honest, good life and do the right thing.

If you make healthy choices that enhance your life and those around you, good will come back to you. You will also feel more optimistic and follow a life of positivity. Remember: always follow your heart!
